Dresses and Getting Dressed Up

via @misa

With dresses, I lean towards classic more fitted styles, but this past year I have been loving flowy and airy silhouettes. I am drawn to feminine, sometimes frilly looks, but I love a good neutral color, and most certainly won’t pass up a bold color or pattern. So, a bit of everything, always depending on the occasion, of course. Most importantly, it is not just the quality and fit of a dress, but a dress that I am excited to wear, again and again.

The Bridal Trend I Love

If I could go back to planning my wedding all over again … I would! Wedding decor, linens, the dresses and the planning will always be a slight obsession of mine, and lately I have been swooning over the bridal suit and the blazer that I saw so much of last year. This trend is ridiculously chic. It is a bridal trend I love, and I hope, here to stay.

The Valentines Shop: ‘Be Mine’ Gifts

Valentines Day is a great excuse to say ‘be mine’! Pick up something lovely for yourself, a treat for your littles or a goodie for that special someone. My husband and I always exchange cards, stay in for dinner at home, and toast to our love, of course with our little man. I love our tradition.

Welcoming 2021 With Open Arms

I’d like to welcome 2021 with open arms, an open heart and an open mind. The heaviness of 2020 has truly put life into perspective. As we enter the new year, I will gather what I learned, reflect on my growth and use it as motivation to embrace whats most important. There is much to hold gratitude for.

Skincare Products I Loved in 2020

I meant to share this post earlier in the month, but better late than never. I’d like to say that very few makeup days this past year helped with refreshing my skin, but really a great skincare product can do wonders if used properly and consistently. A few requests came in to share my go-to’s, so here is what I loved in 2020!

The Holiday Shop: Gifts That Give Back

The holidays! The joy and cheer it brings is a welcomed and happy distraction from the trying year we’ve had. So, bring on the mistletoe, garland, champagne and all the gifts! While I am quite excited to shop and ring in the season, I want to make an effort to shop and give gifts with purpose, like buying from companies that source ethically and produce sustainable products or by purchasing a gift that gives back to help those in need.

Where I Turn For Interior Design Inspiration

Obsessed with our new home’s existing dining room chandelier.

During the craziness of this year, we decided to make things just a tad more interesting by buying a new home. Our search started in late 2019 and it all officially ended in October. Dare I say, now the fun begins?

Travel During a Pandemic

A bit long winded here, but I want to share some tips and highlights from our pandemic getaway experiences. Traveling is a touchy subject and the COVID situation is constantly changing, so I understand the concerns. By no means do I take what is going on lightly. Do what is best for yourself, your families and others. Take the time to assess where to travel, how to get there and what to do, safely. With that said, I received questions about our travel during this pandemic, so I hope it offers a bit of comfort and ideas if you are making travel plans.

The Roundup

This year feels like one long season, but alas, Autum is here! As we adjust to virtual Pre-school and updating our work and stay at home routines, I was hanging on to every bit of Summer as long as I could. Switching gears now, and I am truly ready for a change in the air, which includes adding some items into my shopping cart and on to my wish list. Here is a roundup of what I’ve recently invested in and what I have my eye on.
