Keeping the Littles Busy

I love when I’m asked about our favorite toys, products and activities that keep our little one busy. Besides ‘adventure’ walks (these days, ‘adventure drives’), bouncing in the bouncy house or playing in the dirt, I find much joy in sourcing a great toy or book. As best I can, I try to purchase thoughtful items I think Arthur will get much use out of and that have a learning or creative aspect. But not to worry, he has plenty of random toys and missing pieces floating around the house.

Today and Always

I have been reflecting on how I can make lasting impactful changes in my life to fight racism, amplify Black voices, provide support to the Black community, and diversify my son’s life, while continuing to listen and learn. Because Black Lives Matter. It’s up to me and my family to do the work on how to be better, and how to support Black and People of Color lives, today and always.

A Helping Hand

via SophieandLili

How to help? Feeling stuck! That is how I am feeling as the world I know is suffering during this pandemic. With so much sadness, uncertainty and feelings of helplessness, I wanted to find a way to make an impact, no matter how big or small, to support those on the front lines and the families and individuals who need our help the most. With so much information flooding our social feeds, I thought I’d round up some ways to give back. Get ready to do some good!

Beauty CounterOver the past several years there has been an increase of clean beauty brands entering the market and a huge push for cleaner and safer ingredients, awareness of their benefits and transparency from beauty companies. Inspired By … Spring Has Sprung

The Huntington

Hello Spring! I must admit that I love cooler weather and rainy days, and this past Winter has certainly been wet and cold, for Southern California. However, the freshness of Spring, the blooms, softer colors and the Spring fashion, has me craving warmer days and more sunshine. There is so much to be inspired by too!

Here is what has caught my eye lately … See, Eat, Wear and Follow.Continue Reading…

Arthur’s First Year … We Made It!

first birthday

My little boy is one and we just celebrated his first birthday! This first year has a been a bit of blur and went by too fast. It may sound strange, but I feel like I have grown up so much too. My husband and I can’t imagine life without our sweet little guy, and can’t even remember what life was like before him. Life has never been the same since his arrival. Continue Reading…

Wedding Bells: Always Finding Inspiration

It is safe to say that I will always lust over all things wedding. With news of the impending nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan, it is going to be a wedding frenzy up until the big day, and I love it. Whenever I come across a beautiful or creative wedding, I find myself thinking of how I would plan my wedding day all over again. Don’t get me wrong, I loved every detail of my wedding, and plan to share all the details here at some point, but I find so much joy and inspiration in wedding design and decor.

Here’s to 2018!

As I take on the second week of 2018, I still feel that new sense of energy. A new year, signals a fresh start, and I’ve been thinking about what I need to focus on each day. I always tell others to take things one day at a time, so I should follow my own advice.

‘Tis the Season: Gifts for the Little Ones

One fuzz bunny | Two ride on car | Three book | Four wooden block | Five wooden rings | Six knit hat | Seven toile blanket | Eight tote bag

The holiday frenzy is upon us, and Christmas shopping is in full swing. Is it just me, or as we get older does this time of year just fly by? It is as if I never get to fully enjoy the holiday season. Maybe it’s because I do not get a three week Christmas break anymore? Either way, I am looking forward to some down time with family and taking in this holiday season with so much to be thankful for.

For Arthur’s first Christmas, we will be in the Midwest, visiting my husband’s family. We are really looking forward to this and cannot wait for Arthur to meet more of his Midwest family (and to see snow!).Continue Reading…
